Tent Hoist Works
Two ceiling-mounted spool units feed dual belt straps down around your rooftop tent box. Wind the manual handle – the worm drive gearbox does the heavy work, lifting the tent clear of your roof rack and locking it safely overhead. No heavy lifting. No guesswork. No risk of the load slipping back down.

Mount to Ceiling
Install the two spool units to a structurally suitable ceiling above your parking position. DIY-friendly with standard tools – most installs done in under two hours.

Feed the Straps
Lower the dual belt straps and wrap them securely around your rooftop tent box only — not the rack, not the car. The tent takes the load, not your paint.

Wind & Lift
Turn the manual winding handle. The worm drive gearbox raises the tent smoothly off the rack – holds it locked in position automatically.

Drive Away
Your tent stores safely overhead. Drive out. Come back, reverse in, lower, clip on. You’re loaded and ready for the next trip in minutes.

Is a roof top tent hoist worth it?
If you drive daily with your RTT mounted, yes — removing it when you’re not camping restores fuel efficiency, returns full vehicle clearance for multi-storey car parks and drive-throughs, and protects the tent from UV degradation between trips.
What rooftop tents is the Ozil Lifts® hoist compatible with?
The hoist is compatible with all major hard and soft shell rooftop tents and roof storage capsules up to 100kg including: Adventure Kings, Darche, 23Zero, iKamper, OZtrail, Dune, Motop, Drifta Stockton. Adjustable width settings to suit a wide range of sizes.

Can I install a roof top tent hoist myself?
Yes — the Ozil Lifts® RTT Hoist is DIY and installations are complete in under two hours. It must be mounted to a structurally suitable ceiling.
